Lands is where clans can build their bases, protect them and gain power/levels.
Core is the main part of your land, without this you could say that land becomes useless. Core can be placed anywhere inside your land, but it's recommended that you place it in a safe spot, where enemies can't reach it easily.
Without a core your land doesn't receive any power while also being susceptible to being pillaged by an enemy clan, this will result in your clan receiving penalties (view: /raids pillage).
Core can be destroyed, and easily moved to another location, but be very careful while doing so, to not let the enemy slip in and pillage you !!
Core can be obtained using the /kit starter command.
When you enter a land, you can see the scoreboard on the right side of your screen, it displays the most essential information about your/enemy land
Land can have 3 different statuses:

description
NORMAL
Until enemy raids it or you buy protection status (comming-soon)
(+) enemy clan cant destroy blocks, interract
(+) you can build, upgrade, level-up, etc...
(-) Enemy can start raiding
PROTECTED
Has experation time (view leaderboard)
(+) enemy clan can't destroy blocks, interract
(+) you can build, upgrade, level-up, etc...
(+) Enemy can't start raiding
RAID
Has experation time (view leaderboard)
(-) enemy clan can destroy blocks, interract
(-) you can't build, upgrade, level-up.
(-) you can only place whitelisted blocks (cobblestone)
Upgrades are now point based, that means you buy upgrade points, and then assign them to upgrades you wish to have.
